Leader Development, Training, and Care
God develops leaders over a lifetime. During my doctoral studies under Bobby Clinton, I was equipped to recognize the different needs and opportunities in the various stages a leader progresses throughout their life. Young leaders need development in areas of character, calling and early skill development. Mid-career leaders wrestle with various conflicts, life transitions and ministry challenges. Late career leaders need to focus on their major role and contributions.
-
All leaders need development, but I focus on younger leaders in this category.
-
Likewise all leaders need training, but board members and leaders who may be stuck benefit most from this.
-
Again, all leaders need care, but those who have been through some tough times seem to be most grateful for and benefit from effective leader care.
Perspective is the key work in all of this. The better perspective we have (which is God’s viewpoint at the highest) the better we can lead others as we follow the Lord. My aim is to give and help seek better perspective for the leaders I serve.
